Tanks at the airport, i.e. the great static exhibition of the Land Forces, Special Forces and Territorial Defense Forces at LOTOS Gdynia Aerobaltic

At this year's LOTOS Gdynia Aerobaltic shows, we will see a large representation of machines used by the army on a daily basis. Of course, from the military side, first of all, we can expect fighter planes with powerful engines to reign in the sky. However, the military prepared not only planes. The apron will also host powerful multi-ton tanks, a specialized boat and artillery operated by the Polish Army! This is a unique opportunity to take a close look at the gigantic armored vehicles and machines used in the Polish army.

At the shows you will be able to admire:

- Leopard 2A5 tank

The Leopard 2A5 is a battle tank used against armored targets (a 120 mm caliber cannon), as well as ground and air targets from machine guns. It can operate day and night, and in any terrain, also with limited visibility. Without endangering the crew, the tank can operate in contaminated and irradiated terrain.

- PT-91 tank

It is a Polish main battle tank designed for a 3-person crew. The tank is equipped with the ABC protection system against the effects of the use of nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons.

- "RAK" self-propelled mortar - caliber 120 mm

The self-propelled mortar RAK, 120 mm caliber, based on the KTO Rosomak chassis, was designed and manufactured by Huta Stalowa Wola. This is the first mortar to be installed in a closed turret, thus fully protecting the crew. It can shoot remote-controlled fire, cooperate with unmanned aerial vehicles and fight in hard-to-reach terrain.

- The "RAK" Artillery Command Vehicle and the "KRAB" Command Vehicle on a tracked chassis

- Self-propelled howitzer "KRAB" - caliber 155 mm

AHS Krab - a currently developed Polish project of a 155 mm self-propelled howitzer (a barrel length of 52 caliber).

- WR-40 "LANGUSTA" rocket launcher

The 122-millimeter WR-40 rocket launcher is part of the equipment of rocket artillery squadrons. It is designed to destroy and incapacitate manpower and military equipment of the enemy in the areas of concentration. In addition, the launcher allows you to destroy fortifications and fortifications of enemy resistance points, as well as destroy logistic devices in the area where they are developed. 

- Wheeled armored personnel carrier "ROSOMAK"

The Rosomak 8 × 8 is a multi-module combat vehicle equipped with the HITFIST 30 mm Bushmaster turret, which ensures high combat capabilities. It is designed to fight infantry and lightly armored vehicles, as well as to carry out stabilization activities within the framework of Polish military contingents.

- HMMWV truck and passenger

Colloquially known as the "Humvee", an all-terrain vehicle originally designed for the US Army. It is characterized by a permanent four-wheel drive, supporting the structure on a steel frame, independent suspension of all wheels, high ability to overcome terrain obstacles, watertightness of the entire structure. Electronic tire pressure regulation is optional. In addition, it has an open "cut" rear part of the car, which facilitates loading supplies, infantry and the wounded.

- Operating boat "Zodiak Hurricane 933"

It is over 9 meters long boat, the deck of which can accommodate up to 20 people. Its tank has a capacity of 682 liters. The boat copes well in difficult conditions with demanding missions.
